Spoilers The thing in bay 12

I still so want to see the D'deridex-class alongside either a Galaxy or Odyssey-class on screen. The size of those warbirds is so funny compared to Starfleet's little ships:

I see that as a valid possibility. And i wouldn’t be too surprised, if the whole TNG crew dies in the attempt to save the younger generation. All of them.

This would match up with the killing of all older starfleet officers by the Borg. A new show would necessarily rely on young Starfleet personal only.

That would stink if that was the case. I'd hate for them to bring back the Enterprise-D and characters like Data just so they kill them off again, but yeah, who knows what kind of stunt the writers will pull here?

Ha! I meant it not so much from a size perspective but just the overall design similarities: angles, nacelle strut sweep, etc.
Just rotate the Galaxy class's saucer by 90 degrees and it probably fits in much better.

I find STO's Odyssey class to be hilariously oversized.

The Sovereign is nearly 700 meters long, having a ship that is 400 meters yet again larger than that is just bordering on silliness.

An in-universe/canon size of 850-900 meters is more fitting as a replacement for the Galaxy in the ultra long range high endurance deep space explorer role

Then again, the new standard size for Starfleet ships in the extremely late 24th and early 25th century seems to be 500-600 meters

I did feel it was a bit lame that Beverly had nowhere to sit and just hung around at the back. That was always a problem with that bridge.
Why would your ship CMO hang out on the Bridge. With a 1000+ crew compliment, she should be in the Sick Bay attending patients and managing medical staff from her office there (which they showed many times on screen during the series run.)

Hell, McCoy never had his own office on TOS and that Bridge was even smaller.

But he did have his own office in 2-6 and spent a ton of time on the bridge lol

Question for a member who has no interest in watching this, and only looked up things to see what was happening and watch cool shots: Geordi said the Enterprise D was the only ship not connected like all other Starfleet vessels were, leaving it uninfected. So … what about other shops in the museum? Like Voyager. Like the Defiant (which was made to battle the Borg, for goodness sake). Aren't those, also, you know, not infected?

The thing is, there ARE seats, which early on on ST: TNG[, we did see her sit on. Two backless seats -- one on each side. Also, each Ops station has a pull out chair that looks like paneling; we've seen Geordi pull them out before and sit down.

There's no reason for her to stand there.
