If there's anything I've learned, it's not to jump to conclusions. I'm glad it's back but who's to say it won't get trashed...again?
My confidence is low that any thing will be trashed.
Now that we got the D back i hope it survives the series and makes it to the next spin off.

It's the same situation we had after Disco S2. You don't build such a nice bridge set and then never use it again. It led to SNW...
And they can modify the D bridge into whatever the Ross bridge might look like, or a new Nebula, or a New Orleans...
It was a beautiful moment seeing her again - one which was surprisingly… emotional.
I see that as a valid possibility. And i wouldn’t be too surprised, if the whole TNG crew dies in the attempt to save the younger generation. All of them.
This would match up with the killing of all older starfleet officers by the Borg. A new show would necessarily rely on young Starfleet personal only.
I am curious about the bridge. Isn't James Cawley's set tour expanding to TNG sets? I wondered if maybe it was a coordinated effort and they will inherit it to display.

I was glad they swiped the E away. I've have no investment or connection with it... it lasted for three movies. It absolutely should be the D.
It took until now to realize this matches the painting in Picard's Ready Room/Study. No wonder the first episode lingered on the painting.
I'd like to see the OG fly off into the sunset in the D, ala: ST6 (as long as we're reliving TOS movie themes).
Or literally flying off into the sun like the Galactica.
Good catch. While the season is clearly meant primarily for the viewers who have known this crew for decades, they've done a pretty good job at bundling in context for all the ideas they utilized for anyone not as familiar.
Whether they've simply skipped PIC seasons 1 & 2, or barely know anything about this crew at all, the production have gone out of their way to set things up in a way that nobody is entirely lost by the story.
It's pretty nice.
E was a warship, very anti-trek core message. D was exploration. F goes back to exploration with it's combined warp drive, and slipstream drive.
And is ugly.
I expect if the F was in a show of it's own or had a few movies I'd probably learn to love it but with the limited screentime it's had I just don't like the design.
It might just have been the angle but it seemed like the neck was a little longer/taller maybe?
