Hello all, I am a new member who has it on good authority that Mr. Okuda and Rick S. are members here on this board and may know the answer to my question!
What does the letter "T" stand for the the acronym tcars used in the Voyager episode "Relativity"?
So far I have "time", "timeship", "temporal" (my favorite) and "tactile"!
Thanks for any help with this!

Hi, petseal. You're more likely to get a reply over in the Voyager forum... This forum is for Enterprise discussions.

And welcome to the TrekBBS... :)

It does raise an interesting question about what the computers in ENT and TOS were called. Microsoft superseeded by Daystrom (or Duotronic) Computer Access and Retrieval System? :p

One of the things I love about the set design on Enterprise was how they took inspiration from Kirk's ship with those graphics. I liked the compromise they made to look less advanced than TOS, while also using modern technology for a look that's not too far ahead.

Thanks JiNK-01 for the info! I have submitted the same question on the Voyager thread, with comments about my fading sanity!
And Christopher Pike I like your ideas on the TOS and ENT computers! There would probably be no "official" designation for them in TOS era but ENT might!
If it was ever mentioned I am sorry to say I would have missed it! I was not a fan of the show! I thought they took to many liberties with what was already considered cannon! It seemed every time I tried to give it a chance they would bring in the Borg or another Vulcan would have a hissy fit!
The whole idea of having a Vulcan aboard was barely tolerable only because she was not officially part of the crew! But I have just read that she was ousted from Vulcan High Command and was "adopted" by Star Fleet which as we all know is impossible because the first Vulcan to serve in Star Fleet was Spock! They even made it so that he was not the first Human/Vulcan hybrid, although he did live a lot longer, twice!
So as you can tell I am insane and according to Vaughn Armstrong, a die-hard Trekker! He told me to give it another chance but it didn't help him! They killed off his character about a year later!
Before you get the wrong idea there were several aspects about the show I did like! I loved the ship the first time I saw it! The crew overall were very likable, I especially liked Hoshi! My wife loved the dog! And the props, I love the props! Because it is a recent show it's not as hard to get info on the props so I have a lot of them that I have made or modified from "found" props!
Sorry I got so long winded!
Hope no one get too annoyed with me but it is how I feel!

Welcome to board petseal!

I'm going to close this thread as you've opened another one under Voyager, but feel free to open a new thread in here if you want to discuss Enterprise.
