The Stupidest Thing I've Ever Seen

Introducing the Snuggie!!

You know, this topic cropped up on a clothing forum I read. With the result, incidentally, of almost exactly the same jokes as in this thread. But with one vital difference.

Believe it or not, this marketplace is big enough that there is actually a competing sleeve-blanket product out there: THE SLANKET

Far better name, and a hotter model on their webpage. :D

Ya know, the cat lover in me is going  while the machinist in me is going "I could totally make one of those, I have the left-over material in storage!"

Dang, Trekker! Why couldn't you have posted this thread a month ago?!? DD wanted to give something like this to her father for Christmas (he'd love it), but we couldn't find one at any of the stores we checked. *sigh* Maybe next year, huh?

Yes but a housecoat opens up from the front and you have to constantly cover yourself from the front. This actually looks more comfortable than a blanket!

You'd actually prefer to have a housecoat that opened in the back? :wtf:

These are actually clever and it's one of those, "why didn't anyone think of this before?" I like being wrapped up in my recliner and don't like to open up when I'm nice and toasty to grab either the remote of my drink.

Score +1 for the Snuggie. :techman:

They look incredibly warm. If I was still in a cold climate I'd order a pair.

I thought the Snuggle looked huge. That thing's a tent.

Couldn't find that thing. But I did find this:

Dog: "Look, she's hot, so, you deal with it."

It took me about ten seconds to realize that there was a dog in the photo. Seriously.

My mom went to elementary school with the Oxy-Clean guy. He lived up the street from her. They used to play together as kids.

Oh, Billy Mays...

I got one of these for christmas, and while yes, it's the dumbest thing ever to look at it, it's pretty damned comfortable.

So I was right when you brought it up in the other thread!

I think they're a bit silly myself and I like bundling up under a blanket instead, but I love the infomercial.

For those whose homes are so cold they need a blanket with sleeves, here's the thing to complete the ensemble, a hat with built-in scarf:
