Recently, the BBC broadcast a 6-part documentary series called The Story of China, which will air on PBS in North America later this year.

Has anyone from the UK or Ireland seen it - or is there anyone in the US or Canada who might be looking forward to watching it?

I watched it, Even six hour-long episodes were not nearly sufficient to cover the history of China in enough detail but the series did provide an insight into why the modern Chinese state operates in the way that it does and the potential weaknesses thereof.
