Who vote for this? How many people voted? If there are too little people voting, then the result is not accurate, and so does not determine the real figure. We know that there are a lot of trek fans.
Ah, newbies!
Hi!Alright, who voted on these? The people on this board, of course. How many? Most of the time, between 30 and 40. Not much, alright, but if you (and some others) decide to participate, the results would become a lot more representative. But anyway, don't worry, in like 95% of the cases, the results were very clear, so I'd say this list is somewhat representative of what the majority of the fans here think. Not every time, sure, and with some of the results, I'm stupefied myself. But what the heck - it's a fun game.

About including TAS - I wouldn't personally, because I know people who are huge fans and still they've not seen it.

^^^Thanks, you guys. Nice to see it's appreciated. And yeah, the Clash *is* a lot of work sometimes, so I hope everybody understands that now and then, I just don't get to do it - like this past month.
I had heaps of stuff to do for my studies and also, I had to put the finishing touches on a new book of mine and get another one released and there were all kinds of obstacles... ah, you know how Life can be sometimes. Anyway, since you people are still interested, the Clash will of course continue.

...which was, of course, won by Past Tense, Part I (24 votes). Impulse comes in second with 6 votes, followed by Coda (4 votes). Both Spectre of the Gun and The Vengeance Factor get zero support.

^ I'm surprised at The Defector not winning, it has to be said - it's oft regarded as one of the top Trek episodes, and Past Tense, while good isn't in the same league, imo.
I'm not that surprised given that Past Tense is a highly popular (and great) episode. And so is The Defector, of course. But alas, not every great episode can win when two or more classics compete against each other.

Out of the running are TNG's The Hunted (7 votes), as well as TOS's The Paradise Syndrome and ENT's The Shipment (5 votes each).

In the hotly debated #57 tie-breaker, "Life Support" beat out "Unity" by just one vote (22:21), thereby showing that 1. contrary to popular belief, VGR is well-liked when it has a good episode, and 2. that surprising upsets are always possible in the Clash! (I for one would never have thought "Life" would win this, although it's my personal favorite of these choices).
In Round 58, the winner was again TOS. "The Enterprise Incident" took the prize with 19 votes. On the ranks:

3. "The High Ground" 5 votes
4. "Heart of Stone" 4 votes
5. "Darkling" no votes

See, just recently I talked about the possibility of surprising upsets in the Clash! and here it comes! Maybe I underestimated the episode, but in a result that at least I didn't expect, "Destiny" takes the prize in Round 59 (25 votes). And that with a good distance to the one that I would've seen as the frontrunner, "Deja Q" (19 votes).
"North Star" comes in third with a respectable 9 votes, and - the biggest surprise maybe: Both "Rise" and "And The Children Shall Lead", both not excatly the most popular of their series, get at least 1 vote each.
In other great news: 55 votes overall this time! Highest participation ever! Thank you! Can we top that next Round? Tell your friends!
Also: See how close the championship race is getting: DS9 now just one win behind the standing champion TOS. Will that soon change? And where is TNG lately?
