"The Squire of Gothos" Line-by-Line

Greetings and Felicitations!

We've recently Started and Finished our "Twilight" Line-by-Line over in the ENT forum!

After each completed thread, I'm randomly picking someone who participated to choose the next episode we do. The lucky winner this time around was BlueStuff! And BlueStuff selected "The Squire of Gothos" as out next challenge! Hey, that planet is chasing us!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

As before, at the conclusion of this thread, I or the Assistant Manager, CoveTom (:rommie:) will pick someone at random from among all the participants to choose the next episode we do.

Laser beacon is ready to go, lets begin!

Enterprise moves through space...

On the Bridge, a Yeoman distributes coffees to the officers on duty as McCoy enters.

DeSalle: All clear ahead, Captain. The sensors indicate 0 register.

KIRK: Ahead warp factor three, Mister Sulu. Colony Beta Six wants their supplies. Let's get across this void in a hurry.

SPOCK: The precise meaning of the word desert is a waterless, barren wasteland. I fail to understand your romantic nostalgia for such a place. :vulcan:

MCCOY: That doesn't surprise me, Mister Spock. I can't imagine a mirage ever disturbing those mathematically perfect brain waves of yours.

SPOCK: Thank you, Doctor McCoy. Moving on schedule into quadrant nine oh four. Beta Six is eight days distant.

DESALLE: No, sir. Forward sweeps are negative. Wait. Verified, sir. We must be in some sort of light warp or we'd have picked it up earlier.

(A purple globe appears on the viewscreen.)

DESALLE: Iron-silica body, planet sized, magnitude one E. We'll be passing close.

KIRK: And yet, here it is. No time to investigate. Science stations, gather data for computer banks. Uhura, notify the discovery on subspace radio.
