I don't know if it's so much knowledge that voters need, it's more wisdom.

Just about every problem can be traced back to two things: Overpopulation and competition for territory and resources. We need to get to the point where reason overwhelms these instincts.

And that will probably never happen, especially in our lifetimes. Even in good times people covet other people's property and land. Overpopulation and dwindling resources simply add fuel to the fire.
