Last episode was great and was probably one of the series' best. I am so excited for these final five (oh god) episodes that I can't help but usurp the episode threads and begin them a day early.

Any thoughts on where the show is going to go from here? It really seems like a lot is up in the air and almost anything can happen.

Excellent - really ramped up the tension. And as much as I've spent years wanting to see Shane die, this whole bit with Jackson is really twisting my gut in the process. Four episodes to go - I really hope the end is something that doesn't give me nightmares...

I hope the series finale is a 2 hour episode.

In terms of 7x09, another excellent episode.

The decision to kill Mara and her baby is hard to take. Ronnie she doesn't seem comfortable with it. Even the most hardened men may think twice about killing a pregnant woman.

Ahhhh, Some of what I've got has spoilers...

The show has a lot of relationships in threes:

Mackey/ Corrine/ Cassidy

Shane/ Mara/ Jackson

Billings/ Allison/ Maggie

Dutch/ Rita/ Lloyd

Aceveda/ Pezuela/ Beltran

Not to forget of course,

Mackey/ Shane/ Ronnie, who were close like brothers earlier but have split. Will Ronnie kill Mackey to stay free? Just a couple episodes ago he was more cold blooded than Vic.

None of these relationships are stable. There is so much drama here I wonder how they can fit it all in four eps... what will go wrong next? Each of these relationships are full speed ahead for disaster.

I lost count of all the lies, here and now it's easier to keep track of who's being truthful. Julien doesn't trust Ronnie. Claudette doesn't trust Ronnie either and clearly is not fully buying "We just found out Shane killed Lem".

Corrine can't trust Vic or Mara ( not to mention Shane ). Corrine is a sort of center of gravity in this storyline; her actions will determine the outcome more than any one else; and... she doesn't know she's at the center. She thinks Vic is.

Vic has been occupied and hasn't noticed Danni took off with Lee ( yet another threes relationship ). What's with the Confederate kids? ( Lee, Jackson... )

This season is a little like the one with Mackey vs Kavanaugh; this time the tension is all internal and the battle of wits is for higher stakes. I sometimes forget this is fiction and not hidden camera footage of real events.

They're going out with a great season. I've no doubt I'll remember the conclusion for a long, long time.

I may be off on my count, but I'm guessing the 11/4 show was episode 10 for the season and I don't see a thread for that so I'll comment here. (And if my count is off, then this is the right place to be anyway. )

I just caught the most recent episode (11/04) yesterday (way behind on my DVR viewing) and without spoiling anything for anybody, it looks like it is really closing in on Vic. It's all gone to hell.

I'm not sure how I feel all about this. On the one hand, he's a murderer that needs to pay for his crimes. On the other hand, I've watched this show for however many seasons now and it almost seems like it was all pointless if this ends up with him going to prison.

And what does it say for me when I find myself kind of rooting for Vic? :( I don't get that at all. :wtf:
