Originally, the Thursday-at-9 timeslot on the nights of February 23 and March 1 was going to be given to the slot’s usual resident, The Secret Circle, with repeats of the episodes “Fire/Ice” and “Witness.” Now, that plan has changed, with the post-Vampire Diaries spot instead taken by two encore episodes of Supernatural, “The Slice Girls” and “Plucky Pennywhistle’s Magic Menagerie.”

No offense to Supernatural...but this is BS. :mad:
 
I hate it when The CW screws with their schedule like this even with repeat weeks. :sigh: I don't know if they are testing something like the article suggests or what...but I don't like it. :(

[edit] I think Supernatural is at the point where it's audience will follow it to wherever they put it. A big problem with The CW is if people are tuning in to see TVD...they are most likely tuning in to just see TVD...like any of it's shows...unlike other networks people are less likely to watch 8PM show and just stick around for 9PM show...if they want to see 9PM show...they want to see it...they aren't just hanging around after the 8PM show is over like the other networks. The carry over effect just isn't there...the people watching The CW aren't the same as people watching CBS or NBC. If they want to experiment I say show TSC at 8PM on FRI for those 2 weeks and Nikita at 9PM on FRI while SPN is repeating THU at 9PM after TVD. IMO.

Why bother? Ithought this was Supernatural's last season anyway.

And February is sweeps, why was a Secret Circle repeat scheduled for the 23rd?

S1 EP15 "Return"

Cassie is stunned when a notoriously evil figure from her past shows up on her doorstep. However, her surprise quickly turns to suspicion when he asks her to return the medallion she found in the wreckage of the fire that killed their parents. Cassie storms off but is captured by Eben and his band of witch hunters. Jake offers to trade himself for Cassie’s freedom and when Adam realizes they’re in trouble he calls the Circle. Meanwhile, Faye and Diana are concerned when Melissa starts spending more time with Callum.

I feel they are pushing Cassie & Adam too soon. Faye is a moron...hopefully Melissa has figured it out. Ugh. So Blackwell & Jake working together to protect Cassie? Blah! :lol: Not much Diana in this except the beginning. :(

When TSC returns March 15th...it looks more interesting than tonight...kinda let down a bit...but tonight was ok. ;)

Notice that tv characters get jobs at nice places? Not like she's working at Mickey D's or Denny's (or the non-trademarked equivalent in Chance Harbor).

No Henstridge this week, either.

Where did all of Not-Djimon's witch hunter goons go?

Cassie (Britt) seems more made up looking recently...a bit too much...but at least she doesn't have those bangs Britt hand in the promos.

Diana is gonna crack at some point..."all the men in my life like you more than me..." Joking on the outside, a simmering cauldron inside.
 
okay so the return was not the season finale good but I hate the wait.

love the show to much.
 
They finally remembered Jane...poor Jane.

Jake didn't suffer nearly enough.

The show is so youth centric that Calvin's store was operated by some attractive neice.

Ah, the reset potion...like a reset button except Cassie is unaffected.

Crazy chick and dead voodoo boyfriend...glad that's over with. What hijinxs will occupy Faye's life now?

John Blackwell is the man. I hope he wins.

The CW gets the rights to broadcast each episode of a season only two or three times. With the fact that the show started the season early and the CW aired a full week of Secret Circle, and that the CW often doubles up on airing reruns of its renewed properties during summer ( and often doesn't air reruns of cancelled shows) they will exceed the number of times they can broadcast the episodes without having to renegotiate with the studio.

Since SPN does better in general with its reruns then any show on the CW and had three weeks of different specials (like Christmas programming) they could easily throw a few episodes over. Doesn't cost them any in the demo, and it will help prevent the CW from having to renegotiate for extra rerun rights.
 
Just finished this this morning and I really enjoyed it. Honestly, I think I would take another season of this over Vampire Diaries if given the choice. VD was OK this season, but IMO TSC was great.
 
I didn't even notice the sexy blond warlock from here was in the Spider-Man movie as flash Thompson because of his extremely stern hair cut till a trawled IMDB.
