The Secret Circle(The CW) *Spoilers*

Leave Britt Robertson/Cassie ALONE!!! I didn't think she would have caved so quickly but I knew she would for the greater good. :)

Nothing to do with the story, but Diana looked so different from the pilot that I didn't recognize her at first. I just went back and looked at the eps again and I guess it's mostly the makeup and hair. In the second ep she was more glammed up I guess. I think she ended up looking more generic, actually.

Yep. I wish they would have just gone with red hair for that character...in the pilot Shelley had hints of red but in the second ep...very brunette...and there are already 2 female characters with dark hair...Melissa & Faye...Diana should be red to stand out a bit.

[edit] CW The Secret Circle 18-49 Rating/Sh 0.9/2 Viewers (Millions) 2.05 I hope this gets adjusted up to a 1/2. :sigh:

I was thinking the same thing. She looks too similar to Faye and that other circle chick now. That actually annoys me about most teen dramas - they want to make all the characters look alike for some reason, same haircut, same clothes, same accessories, same hair color, same makeup...I can't keep all the characters apart if they look the same in every scene! This is especially bad with the male characters on Pretty Little Liars, besides Caleb they all look exactly the same.

I get that certain haircuts and clothes are trending at the moment, but do none of the characters have any individuality?

Really? I've never had any problems telling the guys apart (be it Caleb, Fitz, Toby, Jason, Ian...).

Part of the problem is that they introduce these tall, dark, mysterious guys and then they leave the show for several episodes. When they come back, we are supposed to automatically know who they are. For example, when Jason came back to the show recently I had no idea who he was, even though I've been watching from the beginning. You just have to hope you can catch their name in one of the scenes. Fitz and Toby are fine now because they're regulars, but then they have people like Nole, Ian, that guy with the accent that Spencer kissed what seems like decades ago, some other creepy acting guy at school...too many to keep straight, and they all have the same haircut!

^ Yeah ok you're right, I can totally understand how some people would confuse some of the male character. :)

Well that was easy.

Back on topic, I thought this episode was a little better than the first one. I'll probably tune in next week to see what this whole binding thing was about, but I don't really see myself watching this show long term. There's a lot of other good shows that are starting back up or premiering now, so I don't need to add one more show to the list just to fill up time. If it was a summer show I might watch it, but otherwise it doesn't quite intrigue me enough.

^ Well you did make a good point. And once I thought about it a bit more, it made sense. ;)

I think the biggest problem with the pilot was that it was so damn rushed. Things slowed down a bit in the second ep, which definitely helped.

The Secret Circle Episode 3 “Loner” Description Tonight! :)

ADAM IS JEALOUS WHEN CASSIE BRINGS A DATE TO THE SCHOOL DANCE --- A cute jock named Luke (guest star Zachary Abel) asks Cassie (Britt Robertson) to the school dance, and after watching Adam (Thomas Dekker) spend time with Diana (Shelley Hennig) at the boathouse, she accepts his offer. Meanwhile, Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) sees the dance as an opportunity to get closer to Nick (Louis Hunter). Faye (Phoebe Jane Tonkin), on the other hand, has no plans to go and remains focused on finding a way to control her powers. Looking forward to this. :bolian:

I don't know why I'm watching this, but I am. :p

Does anyone else find the adults and their story more interesting than the teens? Or is it just me?

Yeah right now the mystery of what really happened with their parents is the most interesting thing, but I think the kids are getting a little better each episode too. It's still a lot of characters to process. You're introduced to six teens and then each of their parents are in some way connected, now you have Heather and whatever the guy's name from this episode. It'll take awhile for me to be more comfortable with the names and relations.

But yeah, Cassie's date and the social aspect of the dance? I didn't care at all. Not that it was done terribly or anything.

I'm only up to the second ep, since it takes The CW a few days to add episodes, and I liked it. I don't really care too much for the Cassie, Diana, Adam triangle, but the rest of the plotlines have been keeping my interest, so I'll be sticking around. I'm very curious exactly what being Bound will mean as they start developing their powers more.

Best ep so far. I really liked this one. The adults story is interesting...but I like what is going on with Cassie and pals as well.

The Secret Circle Episode 4 "Heather" Official Description TONIGHT! 9PM EDT The CW :)

Feeling guilty that her mother and her Circle may have had something to do with Heather's current state, Cassie tells Diana (Shelley Hennig) that she wants to use magic to help Heather. Diana refuses to help, but Faye (Phoebe Jane Tonkin) is more than happy to conjure up a spell - for a price. Thomas Dekker, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Louis Hunter also star. The Secret Circle 1x04 EXTENDED Promo | Heather

Can't wait! :D

[edit] Will just post here instead of bumping the thread...

This is getting interesting with demons and dark magic. Faye who I really don't like was kinda funny tonight...still think Cassie is jumping the gun on sharing her book with everyone...she hardly knows these people and Diana isn't being upfront about everything with Cassie plus Faye...you know she isn't going to play nice. Poor Melissa. :(

Best episode yet and the pacing of the unfolding mystery is being done well. I also am warming up to the teens at this point. This isn't a slam against this show in particular, but I sometimes wish tv demons didn't get into fistfights with people. But then again, this particular show is depicting demons as parasites and perhaps their power in a human host is limited to whatever the human is capable of.

Gone from mildly enjoying the show to liking it.

Yeah it sucks for Melissa, but as the demon was coming out of the bag, I thought about it and if it had gone into Nick, we might've been stuck with Nick being a jerk and Melissa getting stuck in the doormat mode for awhile. With Melissa being possessed, the bright side is she gets to break out of that role.
