The Running Man (1987).

Richard Dawson was funny as well...

"Get me the Justice Department, Entertainment Division."

"Hi, cutie pie! You know, one of us is in big trouble."

"Cap, will you spare me the Combat Zen speech?"

This little Killian conversation with the DoJ always gives me a chuckle.

Yes, I know a stalker died! It had to happen sooner or later!

Well, it is a contact sport, okay? You want ratings. You want people in front of the television instead of picket lines. Well, you're not gonna get that with re-runs of Gilligan's Island.

Gilligan's Island.
[hums the theme song]
Yeah, the one with the boat.

"The Running Man" was the first rated R film I ever saw. I love Richard Dawson in this movie.

"I'll be back."
"Only in a rerun, kid."

But does anyone like the social consumerism satire in this movie? that's the point some people missed.

It does have that same feel like 1984, "V For Vendetta" or "Brazil" when it comes to fighting the system in a totatarian world.

I don't really like this movie. I feel it's just unpleasantness and nastiness, and I've found nothing particularly funny or enjoyable in it.

I'm surprised this many people still admit they like this piece of shit!;) Oh well, to each their own. I suppose I have my guilty pleasures that will make eyes roll.

"WELL I HOPE YOU LEFT ENOUGH ROOM FOR MY FIST, BECAUSE I'M GOING TO RAM IT INTO YOUR STOMACH!!!"

"I told Killain I'd be back. I wouldn't want to be a liar."

Killian: You bastard! Drop dead!
Richard: I don't do requests.

Whitman, Price and Haddad were just three lucky guys. Love the face replace of Arnold in the cage fight. Gee we do that lots in movies now dont we.

Also gotta love that bit where Amber says "I'm gonna throw up all over you" and Richards replies "Go for it...won't show on this shirt."

I'm watching this movie right now...if they ever remake this, I can think of a perfect Damon Killian:

Simon Cowell.

I like seeing Arnold and Jim Brown in the same movie, but its b-movie cheap and oddly dated.

RAMA

I love this saw, it's a part of me...I'm gonna make it part of you!

Thats OK, Keep it!

Funniest line ever. Underrated classic.
