The Romulan Wars

Thank you both.
UPDATE...
Got more work done. Just need to break up some of the large blank panels with a few extra bits and I can move on to textures.

UPDATE...
Started work on the textures. I chose the warp pylon because I thought it would be quick and easy it wasn’t. Took two whole days. This is basically just the base color. I add a little color swatch to see the actual color used.

The back and bottom of the pylon needs a little work is everything is backwards but that shout be easy to fix.

I really like how this worked out. The specularity is working just like I hoped. I’ll keep adding more color detail as I move along. I’ll probably do this for the entire ship before I start doing all the panel work.

Liking how this ship is shaping up. The saucer underside and the pylons in particular look like a plausible evolution of the NX class, perfect for the period.

That's a cool take on those RCS Thrusters. Most excellent! When I envision mine, I usually do the inverse of what you did like this (Don't mean to post an image in your thread, just easier for me to show you what I mean):

UPDATE...
Got the fantail done and hell it was easier than the torp launcher. I’ll probably add a little more to it.

I also started on the Nav Deflector housing.

Are you going to do a similar aztecking scheme as the NX? The mesh is superb, and the proper skin on it will just seal the deal.

Always loved your gold/purple lighting on these models. A very cool and unique choice compared to all the other ones I've seen.

I'm gonna try to replicate as much of the aztecking as I can but also simplify it because it's damn complicated looking.
As for the choice of lighting, I just like to use color that contrast each other. One warm light and one cool light.
