I've been waiting for Trek Culture to weigh in on this. They're the channel to look at for videos about Easter eggs. Their first video on the subject is an interview with Sam Witwer.
Maybe he's already found everything he thought was interesting.Jorg is great at finding exactly those kinds of things but he seems to have gone … dark on this now?
The Paramount Ninjas had a word. You may only obsessively post Authorized Trivia now.Maybe he's already found everything he thought was interesting.
He did tweet a lot about it in the first couple days of release if you scroll back.
Eh I think it was just that one thing for whatever reason, because he didn't delete any other tweets about the project. The Paramount Ninjas had a word. You may only obsessively post Authorized Trivia now.
I'm guessing they didn't have the rights to David Cronenberg's likeness and it's akin to the Federation-class Dreadnought definitely not being a Federation-class Dreadnought even though it's very clearly a Federation-class Dreadnought in Picard S3 and thus leaves them open legally. And of course, he is or has been on the payroll as a consultant.Eh I think it was just that one thing for whatever reason, because he didn't delete any other tweets about the project.
But that clearly wasn't David Cronenberg in the crowd. It was an extra dressed up as Kovich. A cosplayer by any other name.I'm guessing they didn't have the rights to David Cronenberg's likeness and it's akin to the Federation-class Dreadnought definitely not being a Federation-class Dreadnought even though it's very clearly a Federation-class Dreadnought in Picard S3 and thus leaves them open legally. But it's still very funny, someone posting very nerdy and extremely niche trivia being silenced.
Someone an official Star Trek production was trying to fool you into thinking it was Cronenberg at a glance without paying David Cronenberg. As @David cgc said upthread, it's caused studios a lot of bother before when someone's likeness was used without their approval. But that clearly wasn't David Cronenberg in the crowd. Oh, I understand that, but is that actually really a danger in this case? To my eyes, even at a blurry distance, that's clearly not David Cronenberg. now, it certainly might be another actor playing Kovich/Daniels, but it's not as if Cronenberg was the first person to play that character in the first place. And even have to be a younger version of the character in order for him to have access the time travel tech, anyway.Someone an official Star Trek production was trying to fool you into thinking it was Cronenberg at a glance without paying David Cronenberg. Don't worry, everything is fine!Although he seems to have deleted this finding on both twitter and bluesky. I wonder why.
