So far the only difference to STO I see is the single, central UFP logo - are there other differences?

This is Stage 9 Phase II :D

Did they find the exact same rock and film there, or is it all CGI?

yes we did - we scanned the entire valley in for the CG version for certain shots, others are live action as above with CG for the bridge and tree. m.

I wonder if the J, in this interpretation, has an armored mode when it goes into combat. Trying to think of how to retcon it with the exterior shot of its hull we saw in Enterprise.
We didn't see an exterior shot of its hull. In "Azati Prime," we saw only one part of the interior, what little of the hull that could be seen out the window there, and a graphic the ship exterior in a display.

Oh yeah, that's what I was referencing to. Figured in the archive rendering that portion would be opaque as well.

Glad you're all liking it so much!

It's not running in your browser per se, but rather running on a server and being streamed to the browser. That's why you don't need much hardware to run it, and why depending on the server load you need to wait a bit for it to start. :)

Ah, all in the cloud.
Please, please tell me there are plans to make this VR compatible. Pretty please?

The video clips they keep dropping with Spock and Colt I keep trying to decipher. Are they planning on adding them in some way to the ship tours? Are they planning on doing some kind of show or movie with them?

EDIT: Now I feel stupid. I got it to work FINALLY on Chrome and the Microsoft browser (is it called edge? I know I said earlier, now I can't remember. LOL). I really don't know what I was doing wrong before. Please disregard the rest of this post. Apologies everyone!

Ok, let me preface this by saying that the bridge models are absolutely, jaw-droppingly gorgeous. I'm so stunned that I can finally see the insides of the Planet of the Titans, Phase II and 2245 Enterprise Bridges. I'm absolutely in awe of the work on the models.

The Sometimes it takes a few minutes for it to connect you to a streaming server.

I think they're just mood setters, bringing to life their "Roddenberry canon", which includes the TMP novel and a selection of old novels and comics.

I have no idea if their Nimoy lookalike can do a Nimoy impression or if they sound at all alike.

I feel like it's leading up to a fan film of some kind, a 'proof of concept' of what you can do with the tech on display. 'Regeneration' could very well be the first two minutes of that film. That '765874' title will make sense once we see the whole story. Next year's the 60'th anniversary of 'The Cage,' so that's probably when it'll be out.

765874 is Colt's Starfleet service number from some old novel or other. The shorts are from her POV, melding with Spock.

Small continuity error. On Enterprise XCV-330, there's an away team on the surface and a transporter chamber up/down/whichever way the ladder goes.

Transporters weren't a thing for beaming people until Enterprise NX-01. Although of course I do get that Roddenberry Archive have their own spin on things and it's still a fantastic "might have been" nonetheless.

This is the bridge of that vessel as it would have been had Starship made it to series in the 70's. It would NOT have been in the Star Trek universe, but its own hard sci-fi animal with a crew of only 7, no weapons, a talking AI computer and an alien captain. If XCV-330 ever makes an actual appearance in a Trek episode, the bridge will likely look like something in-between the International Space Station and NX-01, and they'll be using a proto-shuttlepod instead.
