Or try to explain why Lincoln shouldn't be prosecuted for the murder of Hanging Guy (poor guy, what was his name anyway?) which they got on camera.

Actually, when they watched the footage in the mess hall, Jonas (the hanging guy) walks away from Lincoln alive. The demon had film altering abilities?!

Netflix, already in talks with 20th Century Fox TV about possibly picking up recently cancelled Fox series Terra Nova, may also be eying another freshman drama that is facing cancellation, ABC’s The River. I’ve learned that the streaming giant has had conversations with The River producer ABC Studios about the possibility of continuing the thriller/horror series on Netflix. Sources stress that the talks are exploratory at this point in the context of a larger conversation between ABC Studios and Netflix.

What's the use? The last episode actually provided quite a nice end to the story. It's much better to leave it open-ended than to needlessly drag it out.

Terra Nova and The River are both Spielberg's babies. I think all this pickup talk is just a stratagem for Netflix to get in good with Spielberg in the hopes of doing an original series with him - which would make so much more sense than picking up something with the stink of failure on it and might make current subscribers angry - "why are they spending MY subscription dollars on that junk???" A brand new series doesn't risk that kind of backlash. Netflix should know all about subscriber backlash by now.

Since Terra Nova and The River were the only two new shows this season that I stuck with to the end after sampling about a dozen new shows and giving up on all the rest of them, if Netflix picked both of those up (and I think it's unlikely especially given Terra Nova's cost), they would gain me as a new subscriber. Especially because there's nothing else left beyond Vampire Diaries that I'm still watching.

that's because the vampire diaries rule. I gave this three ep's it's worse than terra nova sorry to say and I give every sci fi type show a good chance with high hopes. but I don't think this will make a second season..

now if they threw in swamp vampires then maybe they might have a chance.
