Not sure if this is well-known information or not, but I have tracked down the manufacturer and model of the chairs used in TNG, in Captain Picard's ready room and the Observation Lounge. They were made by a Norwegian firm called HÅG, and from what I can tell it was the Anova 2030 model, while other chairs by the same manufacturer continued to be used in later series, with the Signet range in particular seeing extensive use in Deep Space Nine and Voyager, as well as the TNG movies.
