The Prophets Plan?

In emmisary they act as if they've never seen a non-corporial life form, yet were led to beleive later they had this mad plan for Sisko all along

Im confused, were they just fcuking with his head in the first ep or what? Was their deception part of the plan?

The Prophets work in Mysterious Ways! LOL

I didn't occur to me when I first saw The Emissary but with all of the things that happened later that is the only explanation that makes any sense to me.

To an extent they straightened out his head over Jennifer but they weren't trying to tell him what was really going on about anything else. Most likely they knew he wasn't ready for it anyway. He wouldn't have believed it.

I just had a thought that even though the Prophets don't live in a linear existance it could be that from there POV that from the moment they first meet Sisko in Emissary they begin to set all there plans in motion after that point. So maybe the Prophets do have there first encounter with a non-corporeal being in 2369 and then the Prophet who inhabits Siskos mother travels to Earth years earlier to ensure that Sisko is born and become the Emissary.

I could be wrong with this being a thought of mine and I might just be remembering it being mentioned on here before, not sure which one it is.

This is a great idea! I love it! :techman:
Since, we are dealing with non-corporeal and non-linear lifeforms it would make sense.
