The prettiest kitbash I've ever seen.

Ya know, I've never liked the sliced-saucer look, but this is the first time I've liked it. It just goes with the whole design so well.

I've sliced saucers either, but agree this design would not look good without it. As it stands, this is amazing.

That is a very nice design, bridges the late movie era to TNG + era ships very well. Could almost be some kind of precursor to the interepid class ships. Considering how long those components were in use.

Yes, the Voyager study-model came to my mind too.

Same here.

I think it would've looked better with a complete saucer.

I think in this particular case, the swept back saucer edges make it look faster and sleeker.

It does. I also like the areas of blues and greys on the hull. Just enough to call attention to the form but not so much that it's overkill. Nice work Forbin :techman:

Remember, it ain't mine! I'm forwarding fellow kitbasher's work.

Ahhh! I just saw the ship and totally ignored the words  He did a great job!

Not wanting to repeat what was already said, I will only say the wooden base is really interesting. I should try and make one oh these for one of my models.

I love the nacelle supports. I'd like to see them taller and attached to a Balson Secondary hull--for something very swan-like.

My supports stink.

Not worthy? Hey, I've been unable to stick to long enough to complete a single schematic, and you've done both 2D schematics, and models. If anyone is unworthy, it's me.

You just need to get better, that's all, and you will, if you try.

And even this guy isn't perfect. Notice how the ventral side isn't as detailed as the dorsal. I'm not making fun of him, or blaming him for not doing the ventral side, I'm sure detailing the dorsal side took a lot of time. I'm just pointing that out.

A lot of trek ships have a lesser detailed ventral, it didn't get a lot of camera time (The ventral side) and what they did use were mostly recycled shots unless it was a battle sequence

Love the model work and the design of this ship class. As others have said, I'm am not always a fan of the cut out saucer, but there are a couple of designs that worked well for it. This is one of those designs. The lines on it look symmetrical and smooth and give a very a nautical feel to it.

tl:dr-Wow :D

Wish the image was better. I can barely even make out the names and registries.

Wait, there's a Ranger variant? Not my first choice for a name though. Everyone seems to want to use that name.

The USS Navarone has bigger guns than the others.
The USS Medusa needs no weapons at all - just the sight of her freezes her enemies with terror!

The USS Labyrinth keeps losing crew on the lower decks. A supply of balls of twine will be issued next Tuesday.

BTW, the captain of the Labyrinth should be played by Jennifer Connely :adore: .

Ha! Well, I guess it's a good thing I didn't ask you first.

I'm Obsessive Compulsive. I'm working on a list of starship registries, which is coming in handy for this fan fiction I'm doing. But there are some names that get used a lot more than others. I consider some, such as the Ranger, to be very unlucky, because they get lost very often, and replaced by one later ship after another!
