The prettiest kitbash I've ever seen.

Forbin

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
A fella named Bill Krause, who also goes by Admiral Buck, in the ST Modelers Group on Facebook, came up with this beauty. He has a build log here.

I just had to share this. The design is original and... just gorgeous. I am not worthy.

This looks very nice.
I like the whole bridge/impulse-deck-structure - there are some very nice and interesting shapes there.

With the forward torpedo-launchers removed and the secondary hull moved somewhat forward, it would be even better-looking.

Oh, and, right-click-save. ;)

Edit: The link doesn't work, I think.

That is a very nice design, bridges the late movie era to TNG + era ships very well. Could almost be some kind of precursor to the interepid class ships. Considering how long those components were in use.

Yes, the Voyager study-model came to my mind too.

I gotta be honest, the pylon design ain't working for me. And I'm fifty-fifty regarding the whole secondary hull. But I do dig the saucer area and the structure surrounding the impulse drive. Beefy. Looks tough.

Ya know, I've never liked the sliced-saucer look, but this is the first time I've liked it. It just goes with the whole design so well.
I feel the same way... I wonder what it would look like if those cut parts were rounded off, making kind of an oval shape of the saucer? I bet that would look even better. :)

Nice design, looks fast, a space raceboat. :D

As for worthy, Forbin, yes you are, now get back to work! ;) :p

Bill's been at this a long time and his work is fantastic. You ought to see his ping-pong ball-sized Death Star II.

I love the fact that his seams are flawless you can't even tell there are any! Simply Amazing! love it soooo much!

The Wasp was also beautifully done, but I never liked the farm plow hull. This one's prettier. :)

I believe he won top awards at Wonderfest with both of them.

Not worthy? Hey, I've been unable to stick to long enough to complete a single schematic, and you've done both 2D schematics, and models. If anyone is unworthy, it's me.

You just need to get better, that's all, and you will, if you try.

And even this guy isn't perfect. Notice how the ventral side isn't as detailed as the dorsal. I'm not making fun of him, or blaming him for not doing the ventral side, I'm sure detailing the dorsal side took a lot of time. I'm just pointing that out.
