...and people say trekkies are geeks...Yeah... I have three systems running it (PowerMac 8600, PowerBook G3 and IBM ThinkPad 760ED), I figure I should stay effective with it considering the questions people send me about it from my Rhapsody Resource Page (which I need to update in the next couple weeksHoly crap, is that Rhapsody you're running?![]()
).
So when you hear about some weird guy who is still using Rhapsody on a daily basis... odds are they are talking about me.![]()
Hahaha! I've actually seen your site a few times. I used to have it in my sprawling Mac bookmarks folder in Camino/Safari/Opera, which I trimmed down hugely last year.
I have disc images of Rhapsody DR2/x86 and OpenStep 4.2/x86, which I downloaded years ago. Still haven't burnt the images or tried to install them. Mostly because I never seem to have any equipment on hand that would run an obscure OS well.
I'm currently down to a MacBook 2GHz/9400M, a Performa 6115CD, a PowerBook 3400c/180, an LC III, and my 512K Fat Mac. Chucked a 9600/200 a few months ago after its logic board went bonkers (I tried, trust me...). I also had a complete NeXT Cube system in my possession for a while; monochrome display, external CD drive, printer...
But yeah, I'm a Mac freak. So seeing somebody running Rhapsody made my day.![]()
I only have ONE computer... so I guess I am geek-challenged...
