The only problem (well, the BIG problem) with indiscriminate use of Control-V is that you have four different vanishing points there for the BoPs alone -- and that angle on the Enterprise would suggest that it's taking off (that is, rising) from the ground (and going to get a bunch of free shots at the BoPs, too).

For those who don't know, Metron was based on Spock by Kirby in many ways. He was a very logical scientist type. Plus, of course, the eyebrows.
