Not my best work but I was bored so I decided to think of another actor to play Sisko.

I couldn't see Actor Samuel L. Jackson as an alternative "Sisko", but I could see him as a mid to late TNG-era character by another name to be decided later. You're right in thinking he'd do well as a Dominion War-era warrior but I doubt that it would be wrong to manipulate a Star Wars actor like him into an early DS9 position.

I could see him as a great sibling of Ben's or a cousin of Jake's, in an "Endgame" (alt future) uniform from the U.S.S. Rhode Island's time period. Perhaps as a flashback / "pre-quel" version of Ben's father in a TMP-era Starfleet Uniform.
