The Philadelphia Soul win the Arena Bowl

Yeah, I realize it's Arena football, so who cares. But I saw that the Philadelphia Soul were winning in the fourth quarter, so I figured I might as well watch it. It would be nice to see Philadelphia win a championship in something. Anyway, they were up by 17 points with 30-something seconds left, so it seemed a sure thing. Then the other team quickly scored two touchdowns (although one was a blown call by the refs), making it a ridiculously close game with 15 seconds left. Thankfully the Soul recovered the final onside kick attempt and winning the game.

Honestly, the fact that they won doesn't really mean much (unless there's going to be a free Bon Jovi concert because of it, that would be cool). But I definitely would have been pissed had they lost the game

Anyway, does anyone else watch Arena Football (even just occasionally because you're bored and need something to do)?

Well, I was on the side of the San Jose Sabercats (The other team) and they almost pulled it out. I do agree though, there were some bad calls from the refs, but that was on both sides. San Jose just didn't play well enough to win and congrats to Philly. It seems like Philly and the Bay Area have a lot in common these days. Both passionate sports towns whose pro teams can't win championships so we rely on Arena Football or some other not so well known thing.

I wasn't rooting for either team, really. However, I was pulling for the Philly QB - Matt D'Orazio. He's from a local high school and college, and he's a super-nice guy.

Not getting single coverage of the Georgia Force like I did a couple of years ago has been irritating. It's no fun to follow.
