What happened to them? Did they all die? Did they return to the beach? Where are they?

They were slaughtered by the mercenaries, as represented by the Big Three Fools Who Would Not Listen.
Ben's daughter was shot and killed, as were her mother and boyfriend.
The nameless extras were killed off in the attack. Sawyer and Miles made it back to the beach. Claire was last seen running off into the forest, and then briefly in Jacob's cabin, with Christian.
Hugo went off with Ben and Locke.

Doug, Jerome, and that nameless chick all got axed... I don't know who else went, but they dead.
Especially when THEY DON'T LISTEN!!! 
Yeah... I looked at Lostpedia and there were only two unnamed people that went with Locke.
I'm not sure that's accurate. There were 2 gay guys who went with Locke. In the season premiere there's 2 guys holding hands who follow Locke. They weren't the same guys who were shot in The Shape of Things to Come.
Well, they're meant to be the same people, there have literally been many more extras than there are actual survivors.
For some reason I had thought Locke's group was bigger than that... oh well, does anyone really care about the extras anyway?
I thought Locke's group was at least 20 people. Does anyone have a screencap of how many people went with Locke Vs. Jack?
