Music to the City on the edge of forever

Hi there. Im new here and I've been looking all over the net for the specific music to the scene where Edith confronts Kirk and Spock after Spock picks the lock on the safe. It occurs right after Kirk reassures her that her reputation will be intact after Spock says he will return the tools. I find that music hauntingly beautiful...

Welcome to the Trek BBS, @Unclevic64! The cue you are looking for should be “Edith Suspects”, which is one of the cues Fred Steiner wrote specifically for the episode. Quite beautiful indeed. :)

Ethereal (adj): Extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world.

Fred Steiner's music for Edith's (how to say it?) transcendent place in the scheme of things, reminds me of Bernard Herrman's most beautiful scores for The Twilight Zone. And that material can be found on youtube as well.

Incidentally, Steiner's COTEOF score was practically the only music from TOS that was preserved in stereo. On the CD, it sounds like it was recorded yesterday.
