Your favorite Trek is the Voyage Home. Great, so you are are into whale movies. I like my Trek movies to be rooted in 23 century.

Interesting chart cardinal biggles but not quite accurate because i think you are mixing up column for worldwide gross unadjusted for inflation(brown column) and numbers for U.S. adjusted for inflation(yellow column).
However bottom line is numbers for worldwide gross adjusted for inflation(light blue colom) is pretty much accurate, clearly shows that TMP beats out TVH as most successful Trek movie at the box office.

Umm DS9 was a great series. It ended in 1999. So I think I just debunked that theory. ST11 will be a success.

However, DS9 is often ignored by everyone. Remember the initial Enterprise promos that neglected Sisko?

By ignoring DS9 they didn't have to set the bar to high.

Kidding, kidding. That's perfectly respectable. I think TMP has some of the worst flaws of all of the movies, but it's still my favorite for many many reasons. It's ambition alone trumps all of the others by miles.
