Making a regular character the big bad would be interesting but maybe too dark for Orville. They did it in Dark Matter.

So did Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

I still have to think there's some overpromising going on there...

Last week did live up to the hype, so I'm there's a pretty good chance this week's will too.

It seems kind of obvious way to change things up for an alien design, but I don't remember seeing many characters with vertically stacked eyes like that in other sci-fi shows or movies.
