THE ORVILLE S2, E8: "IDENTITY, PART I"

Just rewatched the episode to get ready for tomorrow night. Still great and I really hope we don’t get a tidy ending where Tye saves the ship. If this is where the series was always going to go I don’t think it will be that way, nor do I want a Search II ending. Considering this season is about union values verse other races (Krill, Kaylon, and Moclin) I expect that to be the main theme tomorrow night.

How were the creators killed?

1. They were killed were they stood above ground, and then taken to a convenient landfill (the caves) for disposal.
They looked piled up, so I'm guessing this one. Although, again, why the Kaylon would save the remains rather than incinerate them, or why they would stack them in caverns rather than bury them or dump them at sea, is another mystery. The Kaylons' mannerisms are convincingly robotic, but their actions and lifestyle are not.

Has it been said where the headquarters of the Planetary Union is?

Whoever is doing the music in this show needs a raise. Rewatching the episode last night, I was struck at how awe-inspiring the music was. This is like Star Trek music with the wallpaper limitations taken off, and it makes me not like Rick Berman's music policy that much more.

Why does my phone have better security than the Starship Orville?? Seriously, the kid walked out of the ship without even needing a PIN code.

Other than that, good episode. Is this the first time we've had casualties among the Orville crew?

If Claire is "There because she feels that they need her" or whatever she said in the pilot, then she is the Union Security agent that was supposed to...

The Kaylon, the Xelayans and the Mochlan.

Three turd species, who are probably up to something.

Throw Yapphit into the mix and The Orville is an airlock between evil assholes and the rest of the union. Which is why they gave the ship to a bunch of disposable fuck ups. Ed, beardo and statue-humper are fuckups, and no one will care if their blow up in space.

The Orville is a big ass honking bomb, which is triggered by one of it's crew trying to use the Orville to conquer the galaxy.

I was pretty critical of the show in it's first season got to be honest - but I decided to give it a second chance in Season 2 - Have to admit I've enjoyed season 2 but this ep really was a game changer! - It was quite superb! Think Penny Johnson Jerald may the show's MVP too!
