THE ORVILLE S2, E3: "HOME"

Yeah, I remember he was very good as Mirror Phlox.

I think I saw Norm Macdonald listed in the credits but don't remember seeing or hearing Yaphit. Must have been a very short scene that I missed.

They managed to get MacDonald back in the latest one for an amazing little cameo.

This episode was better than the first two of the season. I'd give it a 7.5/10. The relationship between Mercer and Alara was touching. Her family life felt realistic. It wasn't overly soapy, angsty, but yet dealt with relationships nicely. So, kudos there. I was surprised at how dark it went suddenly. Putting his hand in the boiling pot. Definitely got some Disco vibes in terms of the darkness. The gravity shields were a cool idea. And, the effect of Mercer's suit going out was appropriately gruesome.

I didn't follow the developments of the show and had no idea that Alara was leaving until the end. I liked her character. It's a shame she left.

I was streaming the show and the end was cut off for some reason. What did Alara give Mercer? He was just about to open it when it cut!

Really liked this one. I especially liked the call back to "Skin of Evil" (TNG season one), where Worf states he has bet on Tasha Yar in the ships betting pool. John Billingsley was great as the bad guy, didn't see it coming.
