The origin of your username

We all have usernames which hide our true identity. This is like a mask that we can put on to hide our true selves and generate an online persona, a virtual projection of ourselves!

How did you choose your username?

I will start. I chose my username by combining my real name with my favourite Star Trek character Seven of Nine. The resulting combination was ‘Timofnine’

Why did *you* choose your username? :D

When I started posting on internet forums and message boards, I didn't put a lot of thought into my username. I just combined my first name with the first syllable of my last name. I suppose I could come up with a more creative moniker but as they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Name of a character in a Mitchell & Webb sketch from about 12 years ago about magical realism.

If I had to choose a reason for adopting the name, I'd state it's because any advice that I offer shouldn't necessarily be trusted. That doesn't only apply to me, of course, but that itself is advice.

My initials and name although I was thinking about changing it because people have always thought I was saying I'm way young. Thinking I'd like to use my regular other username Mildly Irritated Max, which was a joke I came up with friends watching the Mad Max series one night. Can we still change user names?

I guess mine goes without saying but Malicia is a character from Voyager holodeck shenanigans played by Jenny Delaney.

Mine just my initials, which is what I've gone by in the real world my whole life. I have to admit, I don't even really think of my full first name as my name, because I'm called it so rarely.

On older Grass Valley video production switchers, there was a light labeled N/S that would light when a selected source was not in time with the system or non-synchronous or non-sync for short.

I tend to privately march to my own cadence.

FYI, a later model of this switcher was the firing lever for the Deathstar.

I am named after my cat aka The Real Miss Chicken who passed away in 2013 aged 15 years.
She was born with only three normal legs, the fourth leg was very small and shaped like furry chicken wing hence her name,
I did consider changing my name after her death but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.
