The oldest and youngest person in your family

Oldest in my family is my dad at 75...youngest is my 1 year old nephew..oldest I ever met was my great grandfather..he was 101 years old and outlived my grandfather by 6 years.. my dad is trying to beat that record...

Mom in her early 70s is probably the oldest, going back as far as relatives descended from each great-grandparent. There is a chance that one of her cousins is the eldest, if she is still alive. I've never met the woman nor do I know her married name, so there is no way of knowing. The cousin was born in 1929. If I go back to descendants of great, great grandparents, there may be one or two still rattling around, but I don't know. With my grandma gone, it's harder to keep track of the distant cousins.

Youngest is even tougher. I have over 20 first cousins. Some of them now have grown kids. I can't keep track anymore of who has had a baby. I have at least a dozen or more cousins/second cousins who may have babies/toddlers. Ask me later this spring and it'll be easy as my niece is pregnant. She is the one who has the youngest one of whom I know. But odds are, a cousin has one still younger.

Not a very satisfactory response, but that's what happens with large extended families.

my mother when she died was 91.
i suspect her surviving sister is oldest at her late 80's.
as for youngest i am sorta like bonz. i have so many cousins who had kids , who are kids i cant keep track any more.

My mother at 89 is the eldest (though I'm not sure I'd call her the oldest)

My son at 12 is the youngest.
