Written by: Anthony Farrell
Directed by: Dave Rogers
Summary (NBC): Pam is embarrassed when she is the only person at corporate wearing a costume on Halloween. Holly and Michael take the long trip to Nashua after they get some shocking news from corporate. Meanwhile, Dwight torments Andy and tries to get under his skin.

The real treat of this episode will be Creed dressing up as Heath ledgers Joker

I'm not really looking forward to this one, simply because I assume it'll be the last ep for Amy Ryan as Holly... I'll miss her, if it is. :(

I'll miss Amy Ryan as Holly to if it is her last ep, then again I didn't expect to see Roy again so you never know.

Still, if you like Amy Ryan check her out in Changeling, out this Friday. She has about 15-20 min of screen time as a really bitchy nurse in the film.

If Toby comes back he'll never be able to replace Holly and Micheal will be even more meaner to Toby(which could be fun to see)

because of the special guest star tag for Amy Ryan I knew she couldn't stay for long

I figured she wouldn't either, but hoped. Rashida Jones was only ever credited as a guest star but she lasted a whole season (same with Ed Helms before he got promoted to main cast), and I think Creed still only gets guest star credit. Diana Muldaur was always special guest star on TNG S2 and Jimmy Smits is doing it now on Dexter. I think it's just actor's choice.

Agreed. I liked her. Heck, I liked him and her.

Same here. Good episode, but it had a very bittersweet quality to it with Holly's departure and Michael's subsequent angst once it dawned on him how hard it would be for them to maintain a relationship...It was one of the few times on the series where I felt really bad for Michael. His comment about having to go back to Jan was both funny and pathetic at the same time.

The best line of the episode:

"Did Darryl touch you?"

I love Creed so much. "It's pronounced 'colonel' - it's the highest rank in the US military" doesn't read as a terribly funny line (even in context) but the way he delivered it had me on the floor

Pam's Charlie Chaplin/Hitler moment also killed me.

Overall, decent episode. Holly's departure was sad, and Michael's angst was sad in a whole different way. The subplot with Jim's brothers was mostly a waste, but the Dwight/Andy stuff provided some good moments.

Jenna is so cute as chaplin

I am so sad to see Holly go. I hope they bring her back, because I am sick and tired of shows setting people up as perfect for each other and then sabatoging them. The performances were great - Michael, Holly, and Darryl all did a great job.

If Michael and Jan get back together, I just might be physically ill. I'll say one thing for the show - it makes me care about the characters - to the point that I want to cry or throw things at the TV because of the way they're currently being written. :p

The rest of the episode was just there. Aside from the three Jokers, there was very little memorable content. Dwight tweaking Andy about Cornell, Jim's brothers messing with Pam - neither was funny.

Yeah, I liked Andy's irritation at Dwight's wanting to enroll at Cornell.

"Let's see, your three heroes are Dane Cook, Jack Bauer and Eli Whitney."

Interesting episode, though I'm pissed the halloween dress up wasn't for the entire episode and only the teaser. I particularly enjoyed how Michael and whatshername quickly realized how empty their relationship truly was.

Speaking of empty relationships, I really didn't get Pam/Jim in this episode. They see each other for the first time in weeks/months but barely have any physical contact with each other. Even walking down the street afterwards they don't hold hands or anything? WTF.

Also notable this episode; this is the first episode this year that Darryl didn't sound like he was dying of strep throat. Was the actor sick for those first episodes or something?

Michael and Darryl singing the blues at the end was classic, with Darryl just giving up when Michael doesn't get it. Steve Carrel hit it out of the park in that little scene. and :(

Outside of the teaser (Halloween part) and the tag (Andy coming in as a beat farmer), the episode was a thumbs down.
