The Number 47

Seriously, if it was possible, I'd have pitched a script or story to DS9 or Voyager, in which one of the crew (O'Brien or Kim) notices the common occurrence of the number 47 within the Trek universe and goes crazy obsessing over it.

I saw that movie. Jim Carey was okay in it but the ending totally sucked.

And then he ends up in a mental hospital where a fellow patient hears them, uses them to win the UFP Lottery, only to end up crashing on a mysterious disserted planet with 48 other people.

I came across a website by accident that discussed the number 47 in Trek and from then on it was a game to find them. Some are obvious either spoken or a visual but others aren't.
