After completely loosing my entire google sketchup fleet, I’ve decided to start anew… And my first new ship will be bigger and more complicated then anything I’ve done to date. It will also be from a time period I’ve yet to attempt. The Next Generation.
My first ship will be based on the Galaxy Class style. A large ship, though not as large as a Galaxy, with long sweeping gracefull curves, and classic Trek shapes. The saucer is 100 metres across.
So here here’s the beginning. I’ve been working on it for about a week now. It is actually too large for my computer, so I won’t be doing any more interior work.
You can see a little white figure above for scale…
This thing is too dense… I did corridors, conduits, and a computer core…
This is deck 4 I think. The centre of the ship, at the deck below the top of the computer core
And here’s a corridor outside the computer core.
So that's it for today... I couldn't wait to post... I haven't decided what the secondary hull will look like, but it will have a connecting neck like a cross between the E-B and E-C.... But not as swoopy as the D. Suggestions are welcome of course.
