The Next Generation Cast is Simply Amazing

In all of the cosplay a couple of women were wearing the dress Lwaxanna Troi did in "Menage Troi," When I was waiting in line for seating to begin for the reunion panel someone in line was asking about one of these women wondering what the cosplay was. I was slightly embarrassed that I knew and recognized the dress right away.

Thanks for describing this for us, it sounds so awesome!! I'm jealous. But at least I got to know the answer to the question I would have wanted to ask Spiner myself, about autism.

A young lady with autism did mention it to Brent at the Q&A. He said something like he's glad that people with autism identified with his character, and that if he had known at the time his performance wouldn't have been as good.

Then she asked Marina for a kiss and got one!

Seemed to me Marina more volunteered the kiss/hug on her own initiative seeing the woman was emotional. But I was in the very back row and couldn't see very well and the monitor didn't offer too much help.

Still a great, great experience just to be there.

I recorded this on an mp3 and may have to go back and listen. I think the girl did say "Marina, where's my kiss?"

That's possible, but I think the initial hug was Marina's choice or maybe motivated by the cast and/or audience.

Over 2 decades after going off the air, The Next Generation cast is still bringing joy to audiences, collectively - it makes me damn proud to be a TNG fan! I tell ya ...

[star trek dork] It's not quite 20 years for other couple months so not over two decades :bolian: [/star trek dork], but yes, they are awesome.

Therin of Andor was the only unquestioned source of profound STAR TREK wisdom on here, I thought! :) Very well ... so be it. Not quite 2 decades of being off the air. I stand corrected. There. Did you ever expect me to type such a thing? I must be changing life. Or maybe it's because Spring is here ... But The Next Generation cast definitely has their heart in the right place. And they knew, all along, which side their bread was buttered!

I have no real compulsion to meet STAR TREK actors, because, frankly ... what am I going to say to them? Nothing that they haven't heard over and over all of these years. And I certainly would not stand up and announce my problems to these people, just to get a kiss from Marina. But stories, such as these, are good at reminding us that these actors don't have a wall around them, as some in this industry do. These are celebrities with heart. And that's very hard to find ...
