The new World Trade Centre construction update

I had no idea that construction had progressed so far. I mean we hardly ever hear anything these days about it (honestly, last I saw it was still a hole in the ground!).

But now the latest, as of today as I type this, is:

One World Trade Center has reached the 78th floor, the building's glass facade installation had reached the 51st floor, and the building's concrete flooring had been installed up to the 71st floor.

Good job! Impressive photos too. I guess I would've seen more in this next month, given we're approaching the 10th anniversary n' all.

Yep. 7 World Trade was completed in 2006. 1 & 4 World Trade are due to top out late this year/early next year and by open for business by 2013. 3 World Trade is awaiting a major tenant, if it doesn't get it, construction will cease around the fourth floor. 2 World Trade may not be completed this decade. It will be entirely privately financed, so will need several tenants (or one huge whale) before it can proceed above ground.

Gonna look very cool when done. Reminds me of the Shanghai World Financlal Center - albiet without the bottle opener.
