Yeah... Captain Archer would be wetting himself if he came face to face with the Excalibur... it's gun ports are bigger than the NX Enterprise lol

The Excalibur's main weapon, fires an energy beam around 135 meters in diameter... to put it bluntly, one shot would not only engulf the NX Enterprise, but pretty much vaporise it given the sheer destructive power we saw in the Crusade series...

Isn't most of the neck on the Excalibur hangar space? I remember seeing fighters dropping from bays on the bottom of it. I think most of the crew areas are in the "fins" and the area where they intersect.

I love that ship, though. Very cool looking.

the hanger area is under the main 'lip'... shuttles fly in and out along the base of the 'neck' area, where the protusion comes out from the center along the underneath of the main neck towards the front...

i'm guessing there isn't anything at the extreme front, aside from stupidly huge gun barrels lol... but i think the main 'neck' area is inhabited, as we saw shuttle cars and tubes travelling for miles in the show on a straight line...
