I like the mix of the early TNG-style uniform with the later commbadge design. I think the early NEXT GEN Starfleet costumes might have looked a little cooler with the more recent communicators stuck to them.

Got the basics of the LCARS interface working there... basic CPU stats, information, HDD information and Network information... a few links on the left as well...
I'm not overly happy with the clock or network rates though... still working on those

It's growing on me. It is still way too cumbersome to really be useful though, and I prefer the direction KDE is going, which is really hard to admit being a long-time GNOME lover.
Have you tried MATE ore Cinnamon? Both are much more stable and user friendly than Gnome Classic IMO. The former is definitely the more mature/stable, but the latter is more feature rich. I believe they are both in the Ubuntu repositories, but don't quote me on that.
