The new Lorca?

Well when your at war it's most likely easier for a Terrian solider to pass as a regular Starfleet captain since you would in theory have to do things during war time that is like casual stuff in the mirror universe.

I too think we'll see Prime Lorca at some point, not sure it's this season though, seems too soon for it.
To be honest I can't even conceive of a Lorca that's more like Picard, Kirk than the complete Space A**hole that Mirror Lorca was. Maybe he's a bastard in every universe.

I would be surprised and disappointed if we don't meet Prime Lorca at some point. It could be as early as the back half of Season 2 but I suspect it will be later. There are SO many ways this could go I would have to write a novella to list them all.

"In a way, all of us has a Lorca to face. For some, shyness might be their Lorca. For others, a lack of education might be their Lorca. For us, Lorca is a manipulative and dangerous man from another universe who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of the Federation can conquer their own personal Lorca, who also happens to be *the actual* Lorca! Except there's also another Lorca."
-Capt. Lucky Day, USS Santa Poco

I think we will see him back in part because he is so closely tied to Admiral Cornwell. If we do get a story of Cornwell having a mental breakdown and eventually becoming Lethe - I would think that Lorca would be there to try and pick her up from her fall. You don't have anyone else that is emotionally entangled with her enough other than Lorca to make that storyline work.

That may be a storyline for Season 3 - so I would predict Lorca's return at end of Season 2 (finale).

A question is do we need to see the Lorca we followed, return? They did lots of character damage and it would be nice if they brought him back, much like Yar(but for different reasons) and try and give him a more proper ending to help fix some of the cartoon stuff he became and show that he might have had a little more going on than what we saw in that final episode. I feel like we don't really know what made him tick since everything we learn from him comes from Mirror Georgiou talking about him. Was anything he did in the Prime universe real? For example I am not even sure if he wanted to return the Mirror UNiverse at least at the time he did instead fixed it when he felt like Stamets was going to stop using the spore drive for, good. What connection did he have with Section 31 which must have been a thing since we saw the black badges. Also did he really love Burnham or was it all about perverse sex.

The Lorca we thought we knew - the one who turned out to be from the MU - is quite unambiguously dead, but I would love to see the regular universe Lorca and find out how different he is from EviLorca.

I wouldn't say he was dead for certain. We don't know if he is in the Myclean network or he is connected to that energy particle that landed on Tilly. A few months ago I even suggesed that Tilly could give birth to a rapidly aging clone of LOrca or have his personality take over her body which is something we see alot in Trek though it is usually aliens who do that though Chocotay did it once in season 2 of "Voyager." You could bring Lorca back for a episode without bringing the actor back and just let the actress try and play the character. In fact I could see something like this happening with Stamets as well since he was inside the Myclean network.

I dunno. I think this is gonna leave a mark

Prime Lorca would be a wuss. His ready room would be sterile with his graduation photo sitting lonely on a single but clean shelf, next to a box of rice crackers - his big weakness.

If they do bring him back then let's hope he doesn't have a sword and stab Fred Pearson with it and then tell him to duck when Amanda Darrieux tries to cut his head off! :rommie::rofl::guffaw:

Remember the green sporestuff dot? It's either him or Culber

If the spore brings back someone I think it will be Culber. He seemed to have melded with the spores being he was showing in their realm speaking for them.

Culber makes sense but then again since it seems like a logical thing to do is it the right thing to do because if we can predict this then it means they aren't pushing the enveloping in trying to surprise us. Writers I think should always be trying to be a little ahead of the fans on this stuff. If we think they will go left then they go right. If they want to bring Culber back then they should do it through a different idea.

It also needs to make sense and if it makes sense someone is going to predict it.

Landry's and Culber's sudden deaths caught me by surprise
Landry's death yes, Curber's upcoming death at Ash's hands could not have been more obvious and telegraphed.
I would be surprised and disappointed if we don't meet Prime Lorca at some point.
The fifth episode of season six.

There's a complete information blackout, his arrival scene is shot on the set after most of the crew have left, the main cast is unaware he's back and are surprised when he appears in that week's episode.

Instead of it being "hinted at" for weeks on Entertainment Tonight.
