The New for a Permanent Star Trek Museum/Exhibit

Imagine:

Combining Star Trek the Experience from Las Vegas Hilton PLUS the 2 Star Trek: The Tour exhibits (re-integrate them) back.... -> SELL IT to Paul Allen (Co-founder of Microsoft_--the guy who owns the Sci-Fi museum in Seattle, WA ( A great museum by the way with dozens of Star Trek related props)----and stand up a large, permanent Star Trek exhibit/museum/show...somewhere (if it is Paul Allen it will be in Seattle)--he's got the $...he owns the Seattle Seahawks !

as part of this permanent exhibit/museum...have a theatre, running episodes and movies of Star Trek all the time (nights, weekends)..have Star Trek conventions there, kids birthday parties, special sci-fi related events, Star Trek prop parties, etc....

And I would add a section called: Temporary exhibits and allow fans to exhibit, hand-made or unique star trek collectables there....for a few months at a time and then rotate it out with something new...

Anyone else thinks this is a good idea ?

Thanks

It's a great idea. The problem is as it has ever been; finding someone willing to lay out all the money necessary to do it. For example, the original STTE cost $70 million to build that structure from the ground up. In today's dollars, that would be somewhere in the area of $150 -200 million dollars. Just to rebuild a structure that had about half to a third of what you're suggesting. To add on all the extras that you're talking about? Probably another $100 million or so. Then you'd have to start negotiating with the current owners of the Exhibition. Ball park; probably another $10 - 50 million unless you gave them a cut of the house. So we're talking anywhere from $250 - $400 million for this ST dream land. I'm not saying it's impossible, but that's realistically what you're looking at to build it let alone staff it.

I'll call you when I win the lottery. :)

I'd plan a trip to see it. If anyone's counting, I guess that's three confirmed visitors.

That would be awesome. If someone makes that, I'll jump on a plane immediately.

However, it would HAVE to live up to our high standards. ;)

I can just see it now...

Paul Allen: And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling canon violations!
