The Nature of the Universe, Time Travel and More...

I do not believe in aliens.
The distances in space are too great to travel.

To quote Dr Neil De Grasse Tyson:

“If you could shrink our solar system down so that our sun was the size of a period at the end of a sentence, the nearest star, the nearest star would still be four miles away.”

If light speed is the absolute top speed in the universe, how did they get here from light years away?

It doesn’t make sense.

But as comedian Dennis Miller used to say:
“That’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.”

Let me ask you a question everyone should know the answer to; why is the sky blue?

Please consider where the above picture was taken, before you answer that.

Here's an answer:

What do you think?

One source said the sky isn't really blue, but since color is entirely an experience of the viewer's senses deciphering the wave lengths of light, how can something not be the color we perceive? Also, by saying something like, "the sky isn't really blue." Now means we need to define "the sky". Where is that? Where does it start, where does it end? With the Sun gone, the sky looks like midnight black with stars, so when is the sky?

Anyhow, that picture is a NASA rover picture from Mars. Mars's atmosphere is over 95% CO2, not oxygen, nitrogen and Argon. Still, maybe blue is the color humans would see, but there is enough particulate matter in the Martian atmosphere that is 1/100th the thickness of Earth's, that the sky is suppose to look butterscotch yellow in color.

The above photo was in deed a very clear day.

check out the article, it shows the color "enhanced" photo, and the "actual" color of the Martian sky: https://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/news/nasa-perseverance-rover-falbreen-mosaic

When I first saw the picture of Mars with a blue sky, I thought immediately that it was not a picture from Mars. I did some research on why the sky was blue. The prism effects of Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Argon reflect the midrange light, absorb yellow light, and we can't see into the ultraviolet or infrared, so we are blue. But Mars doesn't have an oxygen/nitrogen atmosphere and it doesn't have much of an atmosphere at all, so the blue seemed fake.

Then, reading further, I got that it was a color enhanced image and that the unenhanced image has a yellowish sky. I guess if you want to show how "clear" your pictures are, you need to enhance them with a color filter.

Some dodgy Sigma calculations based on the new astronomical observations they detected.

Unless they live a really, really long time. Or have some sort of stasis technology.

TODHUNTER: Haven't you ever travelled interstellar?
LISTER: No.
TODHUNTER: Oh, you don't feel a thing. The stasis room creates a static field of time. See, just as X-rays can't pass through lead, time cannot penetrate a stasis field. So, although you exist, you no longer exists in time, and for you time itself does not exist. You see, although you're still a mass, you are no longer an event in space-time, you are a non-event mass with a quantum probability of zero.
LISTER: Oh. Simple as that, eh?
TODHUNTER opens the door, and LISTER steps inside.
LISTER: OK, I'm ready.
TODHUNTER: See you in 18 months.

For those that say there are no aliens, zero aliens, what about planets with lots of say plant or animal life, wouldn't that technically be alien life?

So are you saying we are the only so called intelligent life in the whole universe, that to me would seem a waste

I’m not saying there is no intelligent life out there. I am saying the distances are too great for them to visit us.

Unless they have a T.A.R.D.I.S. ………….
