Glad to see the good reviews here. Three separate people I know saw it opening weekend and they all hated it, with one saying it was the worst movie they had seen in a long time. All three of them love comedy, so their reactions dissuaded me from seeing it. But now I think I will give it a chance.

Saw it last night: Loved it!

What I really liked was the fact that they kept the same type of humor as the original Naked Guns but didnt recycle the jokes (there were a couple of quick references though that were funny). At times it almost felt Austin Power-ish (for those who've seen it you know the scene I mean); but overall it was hilarious and a great job.

Well, comedy can be a highly subjective thing. Certain types of comedy might not work with everybody. I'll say this though. I felt they had done a very good job of capturing what made the original movies so special. They nailed the tone and the jokes. And they've managed to update the series while keeping the essence of the original movies, which to me is a sign that those in charge understood the assignment.

I honestly felt it was one of the best comedies I've seen in awhile.

I remember watching Airplane during the pandemic with my daughters (then aged about 13 and 11) and they just didn’t get the humour at all. I first saw it aged 12 and howled all the way through it.

My mom took me to see Airplane in the theater. I was 10. The gratuitous boob shot came as quite the shock to both of us. I'm surprised she didn't drag me out of the theater immediately. LOL.

My parents stumbled onto "Airplane!" while channel-surfing a few weeks ago. They're rarely the types to rewatch a film, and acknowledged they've seen this one at least ten times before, but they still rewatched it and still thought it was great.

If younger folks can't appreciate it, that's their loss. For me and my parents apparently, it will always be one of the greats.
