The only joke I'm "not liking" is him as the little school girl in the bank robbery, that's a bit of a stretch for me. Which, yeah, I know there's plenty of examples with Naked Gun/Police Squad playing with logic like that and I didn't like it then either.

(Except when what's her name takes off her heels and is suddenly two feet shorter and Nielsen gives a confused look, only reason why it works he sees the problem. That's why it Naked Gun worked so well, Drebin seemed to respond to the odd stuff that it stood out. Neeson seems too "in on the joke."

But, in the end, most of the gags are working. He says, "take a chair" and she grabs a chair and drags it out of the room with it rattling loudly. Now, tell me that isn't worth a good chuckle.

Definitely. Looking forward to it. The Sprit Halloween joke, the Airplane joke and the fart jokes were gold.

Really enjoyed the Spirit Halloween and coffee joke.

Drebin as the little girl makes me think of the same gag in (the underrated?) National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1, where we see a little Wilderness Girl skip towards a house, only to find out that it's a bearded Tim Curry.

I love the investigation of it. As well as her death scene in the subdued reaction to being shot.

I never considered Neeson for comedy.

But Leslie Nielsen always played the role of Frank Drebbin very seriously. That’s part of what made it funny.
I think Liam Neeson (Nielsen??) might be the perfect person to play this part.

The trailers look really stupid.
I look forward to seeing this movie on T.v.

That's the one thing that takes me out of the trailer.
The original Naked Gun had gags, physical and visual comedy, but nothing like that.
It would have worked better had it been done like Tim Curry in Loaded Weapon.

The teaser trailer made it look even worse without the context. But once the full trailer came out giving us the bigger picture, I think it played off much better. Still, the transformation feels off, and I think it's because you clearly see a girl from a distance walking up to the bank, rather than a shot that's been shot and cut in such a way to trick an audience, and the transformation feels off as the height difference between Drebin and the girl is too much. It feels like one of those early CGI morphs that were being done when CGI was still in its infancy.

It's kind of in the same vein those brief scenes of where a character mysteriously seems to sprout a third hand.
