The mysterious bow tie...(SPOILERS!)

Sorry folks, i'm pretty sure it is a clip on, speaking as someone who has been tieing a (black) bow tie for years. the knot is never that perfect, and the bow is always flawed, never that perectly waved. we may well see him undo it in the future (or the past ;)) but the one he had on on Saturday certainly looked like a clip on.

regards,

CDP

I used to know a publican who could tie a bow tie that perfectly. It was his trademark, and he wore it all the time (well, when he was dressed, anyway). So yes, that could be a real one.

Naaaaaaaaahhh. I'm not convinced. You see, in your life, getting up, showering, brushing your teeth, getting dressed, and finally putting on your tie, you are at the mercy of your own two hands. The Doctor, however, has Bobbi Peach, Sara Morgan, and Maria Franchi. And their job -- the thing they get paid for and can't afford to ever, ever get wrong on pain of dismissal -- is to tie the Doctor's bow tie perfectly every time.

I bet they could work wonders with a t-shirt and a pair of sweats.

I don't doubt the actor is wearing a clip on, but the character may be meant to be wearing a real one.

So, for ease of getting the costume on, they use a clip on, but maybe he was meant to have a real one which he just happens to tie on perfectly.
