The most humorous Trek shows

I think that result is the internet generation growing up with TNG and being most fond of that series. Also Deja Q and Q-pid are probably some of the most high profile comedic episodes in Trek.

Star Trek Enterprise, all the things done and seen on that series, it's out loud laughable it claimed to be a predecessor to Star Trek.
Then there's Voyager who completely abandons it's premise by season 2, and started acting as if they were in the Alpha Quadrant fighting/ battling ships even a Galaxy class starship couldn't handle.

Finally Deep Space 9, installing a full scaled war where the ensemble doesn't die through the battles and all out violence, except only the actress who's out of their contract get killed, but not from a battle... instead in the corner of the station where the death became meaningless.

They all do a good job. Worf is quite funny in TNG. Data also is a source of comedy. DeLancie drives alot of it too. Picardo's Doctor in Voyager. Odo and Quark, O'Brien and Bashir are catalysts for comedy in DS9. McCoy and Spock drive alot of it in TOS. Enterprise is probably the weakest on the humour. As I sit here, I can only actually think of Trip and Malcom getting their clothes pinched on Risa. I never found Phlox funny; eccentric but not funny exactly.

While Unexpected is a controversial episode, I loved when T'Pol was tearing Trip up for getting pregnant. Archer is probably the least observant captain ever since he was there and didn't notice she had a sense of humor. Somehow it took him 4 years to find out. She seemed enjoy getting a rise out of Trip and had some unconscious jealousy on top of that. For honorable mention, there's Soval's thank you to Trip when he said he was good at hiding his fondness for humans. Say what you will about the show but it did a good job with Vulcan humor. And then of course, there's Trip's snark.

^^Soval thanking Trip for was a great scene. I also like the conversation where Soval asks T'Pol "why are they fixated on our ears?" and she asnwers "I believe it is jealousy."

I think TNG did a better job with humor than the other series.

Let's try not to go on weird rants about what's wrong with all the series we don't like and have nothing to do with humor. DS9 was great in dramatic episodes but its humor was incredibly forced most of the time. In humor episodes, Ferengi often regressed to the TNG cartoon caricatures or they ramped up the cheese factor. The only humor episodes in DS9 I felt were really successful were Our Man Bashir and In The Cards.

TNG's biggest humorous outlets were Data, Worf and Q and focused on observations of the human race from outsiders, which flowed more naturally into the story than Rom screaming. TOS's use of Spock worked the same way.

Voyager and Enterprise don't have much memorable humor or they based it on Neelix.

DS9's Ferengi episodes are a mixed bag. While there are some great ones (Little Green Men) there are also some dire ones (Profit and Lace). Overall, though I enjoy most of them, even if sometimes they were perhaps a bit silly.

But DS9's strength was in inserting humour into regular episodes. Garak always provides a laugh, but there's also this gem between Quark and Odo from The Way of the Warrior:
Quark: If we get boarded I'm going to defend my bar with this.
Odo: A box?
Quark: No, what's inside the box.
Opens box to reveal a piece of paper which Odo picks up.
Odo: Dear Quark, I had to use parts from your phaser to fix the replicators. Hope to replace them soon, your brother, Rom.
Quark: What? The idiot! I'll kill him!
Odo: With what?

But yeah, TNG wasn't bad at humour either. Outside of the Q episodes, Worf had quite a few one-liners, and Dorn's delivery often made them sound five times funnier than they really were.

This gem from TNG still gets me:

Picard: The ship in the bottle. Good Lord, didn't anybody here build ships in bottles when they were boys?
Worf: I did not play with toys.
Data: I was never a boy.
O'Brien: [brightly] I did, sir.
[The others all look at O'Brien for a moment]
Picard: Thank you, Mister O'Brien. Energize

I can't remember the name of the episode right now, but the one where the EMH inhabits Seven's body was pretty funny.

Definitely not those episodes of TOS that ended like this...

Was it Body and Soul?

My favorite bit of TNG humor is Worf telling Picard in Q-pid. "I am not a merry man"!

I always liked Geordi getting advice on how to score with women in Transfigurations. After Geordi makes an awkward mess with a girl in Ten-Forward, Worf practically yells "I have much to teach you." Later in the episode when Geordi succeeds with the girl, Worf proudly announces "I have been tutoring him."

I still think TOS was the most genuinely funny, particularly in how the characters related to one another.

Between Picardo and Ryan, Voyager had better comedic actors.

With the number of outsider characters, DS9 did irony best.

My favorite comedic moment is from Civil Defense: Garak go after Dukat, revealing the fact that Dukat has been hitting on Kira.

DS9 had some great moments, like some parts of "Civil defense". Mostly because of Marc Alaimo's portrayal of Gul Dukat in this episode

QUARK: It's about the Nagus and Moogie.
ROM: What about them?
QUARK: They're lovers.
ROM: No...
QUARK: It's been going on for over a year.
ROM: No!
QUARK: She's his secret financial advisor. She helps him run the entire Ferengi Alliance.
ROM: Noo!
QUARK: Would you stop saying that?
[Captain's office]
(A panel opens in the wall.)

SISKO: May I help you, gentlemen?
ROM: I was following you.
QUARK: We must have taken a wrong turn.
SISKO: It looks that way.
