Taking out "Zero Hour" as it was the first glimpse at a huge historic event- the signing of the Federation charter in 2161 (from when it was first mentioned in TNG s5 The Outcast)
I freakin loved that scene when I saw the episode, great geek out moment :D

"MARAUDERS" is arrested. Klingon thugs (seems redundant) are ransoming a small group of aliens, Archer et al; help them (the aliens not the Klingons :D) to defend themselves. It's a shameless rip off of "The Magnificent Seven" and through it of "The Seven Samurai" and of a much lower quality than either, but it's not our everyday fare nevertheless.

If we had not SINGULARITY, Riker's broadcasting time can be reduced more than 30%, I assume. So, we have "Reed alert" procedure for the first time. Chapeau Malcolm! I wish we could see more from his military and tactical skills. :luvlove:
And so far I remember, we see first time the kitchen, but not chef. Actually, we could see him only partially at " Cat Walk" . If I am honest, it was unbelievable to revive Archer with cold shower. C'mon guys, "curing" radiation madness with cold shower? :wtf:

"STORM FRONT" storms out. We're introduced to alien Nazis. Sure it comes after the TOS and the Voyager versions but there are some new elements:

1) it's an alternate reality thing.
2) There's Daniels and his temporal antics.
3) Silik and his silly mimicking (now he's a full-fledged changeling!! Instead of just being able to camouflage like previously, I guess future guy rewarded him for some unseen reason)

It's not generic as far as ENT is concerned at least.

THE FORGOTTEN is not forgotten, one of the most emotional ENT episode. T'Pol confronts first time her emotions without Trellium-D. Trip realizes first time how he suppressed his emotions about his sister whole the time. And they meet with their explosive stuff to each other. (Great interactive scene from JB and CT). Archer cannot hope support from his two senior officers which he can always count on, maybe for the first and last time. And he did not even get it.

Surely STORM FRONT has to be ejected as a double header, I mean it's the same episode, elongated to 86 mins or whatever ?

Strictly speaking, no. With two or more parters, each episode can be radically different. For example, TNG's "Birthright"... both parts are really different in tone and character focus. Or DS9's "IMPROBABLE CAUSE/THE DIE IS CAST", where the first part had a mystery that had you hooked while the second part has a different feel, since the mystery was pretty much solved at that point.

Anyway...

"STORM FRONT, PART II" storms out of this list for one simple reason... it FINALLY ended the Temporal Cold War.

It's the crack of "DAWN". :D

That episode borrows a lot from "Enemy Mine" a movie from 1985 but so does TNG's "The Enemy" that even took a similar title. As far as ENT is concerned though, it's unique.

Unfortunately, we have more ENT episodes, which can be called "homage" to another ST shows, or kind of adaption: Precious Cargo, Vanishing Point, Doctor's Order, Dawn, (don't like to admit and sure much more better than Children of Time, but) E2, probably more?

ANOMALY can be understand as Expanse phenomenon but, for me it gives clue about how Archer would change. From a naive scientist and explorer to a torturer. After he lost his first crewman at Expanse and fail of their mission became more likely, his behavior can be described as anomalous. It was shocking. It would not be shocking, if Sisko or Janeway did this, but Archer? And it is only the beginning..

"BOUNTY" is removed. First, a Tellarite Bounty hunter is something new in ST in general. The casual way he abducts Archer is rather amusing. The thing that's a little strained though is that Archer manages to turn him around. Plus there's T'Pol (premature) Pon Far which is definitely new.

I am surprised at some of the episodes that are left.

"COLD STATION 12" is taken out of cold storage. We finally see how deadly the Symbalene Blood Burn is, after hearing about it several times in the franchise.

I'm guessing by your surprise, it means that you've already played all this out in your head, and your choice of the most generic episode is no longer there.
In my humble opinion its not possible to discount every episode based on their individual quirkiness or unique qualities.
A lot of episodes are "generic", the title simply can't fall on one episode.
Still, I'm enjoying wracking my brain

My surprise is more along the lines of how long it has taken to eliminate some of the ones that are left.

Honestly, I never played it out in my head... with any of these threads. Too many people with different views and tastes for me to be able to do that with any reliability. And frankly, I am enjoying how a lot of them are explained. It's never boring.

"BORDERLAND" is expatriated. We're introduced to Khan's cousins, the ones that were left in cold storage for a long time before being hatched by Data's father's ancestor. Soong (the man in question) is a criminal and as such he's detained in a special prison (for geniuses apparently). He manages to fool Archer (join the club) and escapes his custody before getting recaptured. We get to see an Orion slave market. As far as I am concerned that's the least generic of all remaining episodes.

BABEL ONE is out as it's the beginning of the arc (Babel One, United, The Aenar) , we see the Romulans (but nobody else does). We see a teleoperated ship with a type of camo that can mimic other ships. We also get to see another Aenar and what happens when a ship does fast maneuvers without inertial dampeners.

We have now gotten to the last 5 episodes.

I will take out "THE FORGE". After numerous references in the franchise, we see Vulcan's Forge. And we get to see the sehlat... sorry, Dr. McCoy. But a teddy bear it is not.

Same here. That was the reason why I asked the meaning of the last two episodes from the list. Would they be titled as boring/average ones or the representative/typical ones? As a fan of ENT, for me a typical ENT episode is a good episode, something about having hope at the darkest moment, having something to fight for, something about being open minded, making mistakes and learning from them. Nevertheless , it is only my meaning, everyone has his/her own meaning. I really enjoy the all these different aspects, highlighted details which I never noticed before. Thank you guys!

Well, let us try to play the game to the end:

AWAKENING is another special episode about facing the prejudice: Trip learns Soval "the Ambassador Pointy" has affinity for Terrans, T'Pau as a member of radical Surakist sect muss accept that Surak chose a human for keep his katra, T'Pol learns her mother is proud of her. And we see our rebel T'Pol is not a rebel enough: she believes still Vulcan High Command.

I'll "Augment" this list. The Augments is out as it's the final episode of the arc. Also shows us Soong at the end contemplating androids (beginnings of Lore and Data) and abandoning his work on the augments.

Just as a reminder... It's now down to two episodes and I believe we should proceed the now usual way, that is by taking a poll among all the participants.

@Farscape One: It's up to you now.
