Game The Most Disliked Klingon Story

Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum is saved, L'Rell and Cornwell had good scenes, I liked that story and the developments that came from it. This is also one of the rare episodes having an almost classic away team plot which I appreciated, they picked some nice locations.

TNG Season 6: “The Chase”
TNG Season 7: “Firstborn”
DS9 Season 6: “Sons And Daughters”
DS9 Season 7: "Shadows & Symbols"
VOY Season 4: “Day Of Honor”
ENT Season 1: “Broken Bow”
ENT Season 2: “Marauders”
ENT Season 2: “Judgment”
ENT Season 2: "The Expanse"
ENT Season 4: “The Augments”
DIS Season 1: “The Butcher’s Knife Cares Not For The Lamb’s Cry”

Getting meaning from "SHADOWS AND SYMBOLS".

A lot of things going on at once, but it was handled well. All story points were worked seamlessly in the editing process. That brought some wonderful tension for all without sacrificing one for another.

"Day Of Honor" is an ep I've recently rediscovered, and found I really enjoy. They do a good job of spinning the Torres arc and the Seven-integrates-into-the-crew B story off of the same central alien threat plot. The scenes of Torres and Paris adrift in space are much more effective than I recalled, and I really like Seven's climactic realization that she can solve the problems of the attacking aliens with her Borg knowledge. It was so appealingly Star-Trek-y.

CHAKOTAY: If you've had this knowledge all along, why didn't you say so?
SEVEN: I am not accustomed to thinking that way. Borg do not consider giving technology away, only assimilating it.
JANEWAY: And what do you suppose made you consider it now?
SEVEN: I am not certain.
JANEWAY: Maybe it was just an unexpected act of kindness.

I will save Enterprise's Judgement. Not the best episode, but an above-average one for Enterprise's second season, and probably the best that ENT did with Klingons, showing some level of depth to their culture. Plus J.G. Hertzler is in it, so that by default adds a few points.

I will slow down "The Chase".

I was hesitant to actually vote on it, because while I do think it is one of the best episodes that remain on the list, it doesn't feel like a Klingon episode. It has the Klingon captain and while we do get insight in a couple of games of their culture... which that scene of him trying to best Data was just hilarious... it's not as Klingon-centric as others that remain.

Still, I always enjoyed this episode, and it really doesn't belong on any 'Most Disliked' list. With the exception of "Sub Rosa", I don't think Frakes has directed a bad episode. They've all been good to excellent.

ENT Season 4: “The Augments”

I'll save Sons and Daughters next. The Alexander story is a bit dreary, but I enjoyed the other half with Kira, Dukat and Ziyal.

TNG Season 7: “Firstborn”
ENT Season 1: “Broken Bow”
ENT Season 2: “Marauders”
ENT Season 2: "The Expanse"
ENT Season 4: “The Augments”
DIS Season 1: “The Butcher’s Knife Cares Not For The Lamb’s Cry”

I save The Butcher’s Knife ... this time. I really started to like Ripper in this episode, L'Rell and Voq on the wreckage of the Shenzhou was ok, the senes went on a bit too long but way more entertaining than what's left in the list.

TNG Season 7: “Firstborn”
ENT Season 1: “Broken Bow”
ENT Season 2: “Marauders”
ENT Season 2: "The Expanse"
ENT Season 4: “The Augments”

"BROKEN BOW" is unbroken.

It was a good premiere. I liked everything except the Temporal Cold War.

TNG Season 7: “Firstborn”
ENT Season 2: “Marauders”
ENT Season 2: "The Expanse"
ENT Season 4: “The Augments”

I'll save "Firstborn." I'm feeling sentimental towards the Worf/Alexander relationship right now.

ENT Season 2: “Marauders”
ENT Season 2: "The Expanse"
ENT Season 4: “The Augments”

What the hell, I'll save "The Augments" for the presence of Brent Spiner. I enjoyed seeing him again. So who wants to pick the "winner"?

ENT Season 2: “Marauders”
ENT Season 2: "The Expanse"

I will save The Expanse. It's more exciting than Marauders, which is just such a mediocre episode. Boring and beige.

The Expanse may have the botched end to the little Duras arc that ran at the end of S2, but at least it relaunched the series in a more interesting way

Marauders wins!

"Maurauders" is a perfect winner! That's literally the one I've been hoping for from the beginning, truly the Klingon nadir. Just one of those drab, airless, nothing episodes. Never were the Klingons dumber, which is also true of the plan that defeated them -- there was nothing stopping them from coming right back the minute the Enterprise moved on!

Next up: a interlude from the alien-themed lists with "The Most Disliked Romance Of The Week." As always, thanks everyone for playing! My life is absolute hell right now, and reading the elimination reasons always brings a smile to my face. I'm glad "Most Disliked" was already cued up for this round of gameplay, so that we can be talking about the reasons we LOVE these episodes, because am I ever NOT in the mood for the Least Disliked "this is why I HATE this episode" eliminations right now.

Anyway, hope to see you all on the next one!
