"FASCINATION" was going to be my next save, so I'll save THE PURGE movie instead... I mean, "THE RETURN OF THE ARCHONS".

Clearly, THE PURGE was taken directly from the Red Hour from this episode.

"THE RETURN OF THE ARCHONS" was more creepy than people let on. Sulu in the transporter room after he was absorbed... chillingly creepy.

[Seven of Five]

I'm still not a fan of the way Jadzia died, and Dukat's transition to his Pah-Wraith worshiping is an uninspired way to take his story. That being said, Tears of the Prophets was a very sad end to season six, whilst also being action-packed.

I always loved how the Gratitude Fesitval was revisited as well.

Despite it's terrible title and idiotic molecular reconstruction technology, "Maps And Legends" is one of the stronger episodes of Picard season 1. The building tension was GREAT.

I didn't realize that Dagger of the Mind had slipped into the bottom two, so that's an easy save. The visit to the penal colony for the criminally insane was well done, and I also believe that we had the first mind meld in this as well.

Merdian is just so very bland and is an easy loser.

And worthy enough. I found it inoffensive, but unexceptional. There weren't really any major debacles on the list this time.

There's some great season 1 psychological horror in this one. A shame Rand was replaced by Noel - she's okay, but Rand was iconic by that point. (Looking up a couple posts, I think I was ninja'ed, though)

I thought TOS might squeak onto the board this time! But hard to argue with "Meridian" as a winner, even though I don't like DS9 trailing only VOY in wins. As @Oddish says, this was a pretty strong list.
