The MOST Disliked Episode of VOYAGER - Season Six...

Saving "Muse," because I really enjoyed seeing the story of Voyager in the style of ancient Greek drama. So sue me; I've been a theater geek most of my life.:p

BARGE OF THE DEAD
ALICE
RIDDLES
DRAGON'S TEETH
FAIR HAVEN
TSUNKATSE
COLLECTIVE
SPIRIT FOLK
GOOD SHEPHERD
FURY
THE HAUNTING OF DECK TWELVE

That was going to be my next save, because I love mythology. And Joe Menosky wrote it. It was his last solo credit to the franchise. He is one of my favorite writers of the franchise.

DRAGON'S TEETH: It's an interesting take on why you shouldn't interfere with other cultures.
The Vaadwaur started off as almost normal and ended up as a creepy, deceitful and cruel culture.

I'll go for RIDDLES which is a nice Neelix/Tuvok story, even if (as usual) nothing from the episode is really followed up on later.

FAIR HAVEN
TSUNKATSE
COLLECTIVE
SPIRIT FOLK
FURY

Barge of the Dead. Even though it's clear that it was originally intended for Worf over on DS9, they still manage to wring some decent character scenes for Torres out of the end product.

ALICE
FAIR HAVEN
TSUNKATSE
COLLECTIVE
SPIRIT FOLK
FURY

I'll save "Collective." The Borg Children were a good addition (especially that baby!)

Tsunkatse is saved... yeah, yeah, yeah it's the Rock. But it's also Seven :techman: and an Hirogen... and to a lesser extent, Tuvok. ;)

I really wish Moore didn't have that falling out with Braga. VOYAGER needed him, to be honest.
I've heard this from a couple of others as well... the tone of VOY would have been darker and more like that of SI. If so, then I agree. I also heard Moore went on to do DS9, which hopefully bodes well for when I get to that one.

Looking at this list I am realizing "wow, I am NOT into Voyager season 6."
To an extent, I agree. I like season 6, but it ranks behind seasons 3,4,5 (the peak of the show imho) and possibly 2 and 7 for me.

FURY: but only for the fun of seeing the bulkheads torn apart... plus the remaining episodes make it look... (sort of) OK.

That was going to be my next save. I really wish we saw the Vaadwaur again.

My save this time will be "THE HAUNTING OF DECK TWELVE". I love horror and related things, as I have mentioned before. This was a nice use of Neelix and the Borg kids. And a ghost story is always fun.

After working together on TNG, Moore went to DS9 while Braga went to VGR. They continued to work together on films, but when DS9 ended and Moore came over to VGR, the working dynamic was different and unfortunately didn't work out. You can get a feel for what Moore had in mind from VGR by watching his reimagining of Battlestar Galactica.

That was going to be my next save. I really wish we saw the Vaadwaur again.

Me too, I really enjoyed that one.

I'll save Alice. As a Star Trek take on Stephen King's Christine, it's not too bad. At least, it's better than the other two remaining IMO.

FAIR HAVEN
SPIRIT FOLK

So, instead of "Kim meets a woman/Chakotay meets a woman," this season's selection comes down to "Janeway meets an imaginary guy." Wow. I hate both of these episodes. But since they'll both make it into the final round anyway, there's no real point in agonizing. "Spirit Folk" did almost get two crewmembers (three if you count the Doc) unnecessarily killed as a product of boneheaded decisions and misplaced priorities, so it can take the "prize."

Had a funny feeling it'd be the Fair Haven duology which would make up the last two. And I agree that Spirit Folk is the worse of the two; Fair Haven did have that face-palming scene where the bridge crew hesitate to shut down the holodecks even though the alternative is certain death, but at least they came to their senses relatively quickly. Janeway's high-handed refusal to shut down the holodeck just because they'd possibly have to rebuild the characters (again) is in a whole different league.

It's funny because TNG had two very bad episodes centered around the same sort of "folksy stuff", IE "Up The Long Ladder" and "Sub Rosa" and they were both really bad.

Some people never learn.

We could just make "Fair Haven" and "Spirit Folk" into a loose two-parter and declare them joint winners.

We have a 'winner' with "SPIRIT FOLK" for season 6.

I have to say, I wasn't surprised how this season ended.

Thank you all for voting. I shall post season 7 shortly.

I still can’t believe that we got 2 episodes extremely close together about the same boring thing. Even in 1999-2000 I was wondering who had okayed the sequel. I guess I know now: the same people that okayed the “Enterprise” series and scripts.
